No endothermic or exothermic effect of the test item was observed between 20°C and 308°C (test item melting point).

These observations confirmed that the test item is not self-ignitable.

After the experiment, the test item had turned into a brown residue and was collected in a container that was placed below the cube. It indicated that the test item had been molten, during the experiment.

Conclusions:
No signs of self-ignition was observed from 20°C up to the test item melting point.

Additional information

Based on the experimental results obtained in the key study, the test item is not classified for self-heating hazard according to GHS criteria. Indeed, no sign of self-ignition (up to the melting point) were observed in an study performed according to EU A.16 method on this solid test item.
