Conclusion on classification

1,3 -Bis (4 -hydroxy benzoyl) benzene shows no signs of toxicity in any of the available acute and chronic aquatic toxicity test at its limit of solubility. Although 1,3 -Bis (4 -hydroxy benzoyl) benzene is not readily biodegradable, the substance is not expected to bioaccumulate as the Log Kow was determined to be 2.4. Therefore no classification is warrented according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP).
