Results

To determine the melting behaviour (three independent single measurements), the test item was measured by DSC between -90 °C and 50 °C with a heating / cooling rate of 10 K/min in 2 cycles. For the measurement a capsulated crucible was used.

The test item Propyl oleate shows a melting area of crystalline subcomponents between -48 °C and -15 °C according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).

-48 °C to -15 °C (from first measurement)

-48 °C to -15 °C (from second measurement)

-48 °C to -15 °C (from third measurement)

The cooling run shows a crystallization.

Conclusions:
The test item Propyl oleate shows a melting area of crystalline subcomponents between -48 °C and -15 °C according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).
Executive summary:

The test item Propyl oleate shows a melting area of crystalline subcomponents between -48 °C and -15 °C according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).
