Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Environmental fate and pathways

Biodegradation

Not readily biodegradable within the 60-day period of the study (the mean biodegradability was 41% according to the OECD guideline 301)

Bioaccumulation

log Kow = 3.59 (23.9 °C, OECD 117, HPLC method)

Aquatic short-term toxicity

Aquatic invertebrates

EC50 (48 h) = 2.32 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 202, D. magna)

Aquatic Algae

ErC50 (72 h) = 2.45 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 201, P. subcapitata)

Aquatic long-term toxicity

Aquatic algae

ErC10 (72 h) = 1.14 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 201, P. subcapitata)

Conclusion on CLP

Both EC50 values for acute toxicity are in the same order of magnitude and > 1 mg/L (no acute classification). However, the EC50 values are < 10 mg/L and the substance is not rapidly biodegradable. Therefore, the substance is classified and labelled as Category Chronic 2 (H411) for environmental hazards, according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and further amendments.
