Details on results:
The pH of the samples varied in the range of 5.37 – 5.69, the pH of control water samples varied in the range of 5.36 – 5.59.
Samples were analysed with the above NPOC method. The control samples were used for correction of the measured values of samples.
Based on the validation, the limit of quantification of NPOC method is 5 mg carbon/L. Assuming that the components of the test item are equally soluble in water, a theoretical limit of quantification can be given as 5.76 mg/L for the test item, as it is 86.87% carbon

Conclusions:
The carbon content of the soluble fraction of this UVCB substance was below the quantification limit (5 mg carbon/L) in each case. Considering, that the carbon content of test item is 86.87% based on the results of the elemental analysis, the water solubility of AMINOX® can be considered less as than 5.76 mg/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The purpose of this study was to determine the water solubility of AMINOX®, which is specified by the saturation mass concentration of the test item in water preferably at 20 ± 0.5 °C.

Although, as the expected water solubility is below 10-2 g/L, the flask method was applied because the column method is not suited to the NPOC analytical method.

Considering, that the test item is an UVCB, without no signal chemical marker, the quantification of water solubility was made by the carbon content of the soluble fraction of test item was measured using a NPOC method. The carbon content of the soluble fraction of this UVCB substance was below the quantification limit (5 mg carbon/L) in each case. Considering, that the carbon content of test item is 86.87% based on the results of the elemental analysis, the water solubility of AMINOX® can be considered less than 5.75 mg/L at 20 °C, based on a theoretical calculation.
