Test item identification and stability under storage condition:
The infrared (IR) spectrum of the test item measured was confirmed to be identical to that provided by the sponsor.
In addition, the IR spectrum of the test item after the completion of the experiment was the same as that before the start of the experiment, and it indicated that the test item was stable under the storage conditions.

Results

Partition coefficient of test item logPow>6.5 (25°C)

Discussion

Tetrahydrofuran was used as the eluent in order to decrease the polarity of the eluent. It was concluded that the analytical method was valid because the correlation coefficient of regression line was acceptable. The log Pow of the test item was regarded as larger than 6.5 because the retention time of the test item was larger than that of DDT (log Pow= 6.5).
