Description of key information

At 20°C and at pH 6.5 the following solubilities were found:

5.80 mg/L at a loading rate of 0.1 g/L

7.29 mg/L at a loading rate of 1.0 g/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination was performed by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105 and analysed by UV/VIS.

The test item is a complex mixture. In addition to the determination via UV/VIS spectroscopy, the water solubility was therefore also investigated via determination of dissolved amounts of chromium, nitrogen and carbon, the main elements contained in the test item. Different sample weights (different amounts of surplus) were applied (each about 0.1 g/L and 1.0 g/L) to investigate whether fractions of different solubility are existent (partial solubility).

As result for the water solubility of the test item the values of the determination via UVNIS spectroscopy can be preferably considered, because with this method the yellow colored compound were measured, this method is the most sensitive of the methods applied and because the determinations via the elements confirm these results.
