Description of key information
The surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of EP-4000S was found to be 53.5 mN/m.

A surface tension determination was conducted as part of a package of physicochemical testing on EP-4000S (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2012, Study CVJ0131). The study was conducted in compliance with GLP and the surface tension determination was performed according to EC and OECD test guidelines.
The surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of EP-4000S was found to be 53.5 mN/m. As the result was less than 60 mN/m, the test substance was considered to be surface active.
