JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with section 1 of REACh Annex XI, study for explosive properties is deemed unnecessary based on the experience in handling, testing and use of the substance. Indeed, tests performed on the substance and reported in this dossier (Determination of melting/boiling point in section 4.2 and 4.3, and flash point section 4.11) showed that the substance clearly does not react violently with the temperature.
Moreover, in accordance with column 2 of REACh Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. According to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and screening procedure (as listed in appendix 6 to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (6th revised edition, 2015) or in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, v6.0, July 2017, §R.7.1.11), NO REACTIVE GROUP was identified in the list of known constituents of the substance.
Therefore, explosive properties are not anticipated for the registered susbtance and the acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply. No further testing was considered.
