Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data is available for the evaluation of the short-term toxicity of the substance to fish. For this reason data on an analogue substance is used; justification for Read Across is given in Section 13 of IUCLID.

The acute toxicity of Similar Substance 01 to fish was determined in a semi-static test conducted in accordance with OECD 203 and EU Method C.1 and in line with GLP in Brachydanio rerio (zebra fish). Due to the insolubility of the test material the study was performed with a water soluble fraction as a limit test. Under the conditions of the study, the 96 h LC50 of the test material was found to be greater than the water solubility of the test material (between 0.05 and 0.18 mg/l under the conditions of this study).

The LC50 (96 h) was determined to be > 0.09 mg/l (measured, geom. mean).

The substance is considered as highly insoluble in water. No toxic effects were observed up to the limit of water solubility and thus the EC50 is higher than the highest (measured, geom.mean) concentration. The key value used for chemical safety assessment is the highest value considered to be safe for aquatic toxicity according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008, i.e. 100 mg/l.
