Description of key information

Short term toxicity to fish:

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water, hence indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur.

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the substance N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine - is highly insoluble (solubility: 2.082e-008 mg/l at 25° C) in water.

Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the substance N-(2-ethylhexyl)-1-[[2-methyl-4-[(4-methylphenyl)azo]phenyl]azo]naphthalen-2-amine - is highly insoluble (solubility: 2.082e-008 mg/l at 25° C) in water.
