Key result
Flash point:
185 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 Pa
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions the flash point of the test substance was estimated at 185 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the flash point of the test substance using a closed cup Pensky-Martens flash point tester following EN ISO 2729 method. The flash point test was performed in triplicates. The method requires the test start at 23° C below the flashpoint and be heated at 5-6° C/min to the flash point. Under the study conditions the flash point of the test substance was estimated at 185 °C (Boutreau, 2017).

Description of key information

The flash point was determined in a closed cup Pensky-Martens flash point tester according to EN ISO 2719 (Boutreau, 2017).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
185 °C
