First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures
First-aid measures general : Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
First-aid measures after inhalation : Take person to fresh air, in a quiet place and if necessary take medical advice. If unconscious, place in the recovery position and seek medical advice.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing at the same time all contaminated clothes. Wash clothing before re-using.
First-aid measures after eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. Always consult an ophthalmologist. Continue rinsing during transport.
First-aid measures after ingestion : Rinse mouth out with water. If the person feels unwell, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray. Foam. extinguishing powder.
Unsuitable extinguishing media : For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide (CO2).

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Dust explosion hazard : In the case of dusty organic products the possibility of a dust explosion should always be considered.
Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire : When exposed to high temperatures may produce hazardous decomposition products such as carbon monoxide and dioxide, smoke, nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Advice for firefighters
Firefighting instructions : Avoid dust formation. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.
Protection during firefighting : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.
Other information : Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
General measures : Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dust, mist or spray.
- For non-emergency personnel
Protective equipment : Wear recommended personal protective equipment. Refer to exposure control/personal protection.
Emergency procedures : Provide adequate ventilation. Minimize generation of dust. Wear suitable respiratory equipment in case of insufficient ventilation. Keep unprotected persons from entering.
- For emergency responders
Protective equipment : Wear recommended personal protective equipment. Refer to exposure control/personal protection.
Emergency procedures : Provide adequate ventilation. Minimize generation of dust. Wear suitable respiratory equipment in case of insufficient ventilation. Keep unprotected persons from entering.

Environmental precautions
Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up : Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Wash away remainder with plenty of water. Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling
Precautions for safe handling : Avoid all unnecessary exposure. Avoid dust formation. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Do not drink, eat or smoke in the workplace.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage conditions : Keep container closed when not in use.
Prohibitions on mixed storage : Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
Storage area : Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls:
Appropriate engineering controls:
Ventilate area. Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

Personal protective equipment:
Dust formation: dust mask. Gloves. Protective clothing. Safety glasses.
Hand protection:Recommended: Chemical resistant gloves (according to European standard NF EN 374 or equivalent)
Eye protection:Recommended: Chemical goggles or safety glasses
Skin and body protection:Wear suitable protective clothing
Respiratory protection:In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Dust formation: dust mask
Environmental exposure controls: Avoid release to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No dangerous reactions known under normal conditions of use.

Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions of use.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: In the case of dusty organic products the possibility of a dust explosion should always be considered.

Conditions to avoid: High temperature.

Incompatible materials: Oxidizing and reducing agents may destroy the dye.

Hazardous decomposition products: When exposed to high temperatures may produce hazardous decomposition products such as carbon monoxide and dioxide, smoke, nitrogenoxides (NOx).

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods
Regional legislation (waste) : Disposal must be done according to official regulations.
Sewage disposal recommendations : Do not discharge into drains.
Waste disposal recommendations : If recycling is not possible, eliminate in accordance with local valid waste disposal regulations.
Empty the packaging completely prior to disposal. Remove to an authorized waste treatment plant.
Ecology - waste materials : Avoid release to the environment.
