Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which melts above 300°C
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
For Reactive Yellow 95 (meta) no melting point could be observed up to 400°C. During the measurement a colour changing of the test item was observed. The first changing was observed at 180 °C the test item was red-orange, at 315 °C – whitish, at 325 °C – dark-red. At 360 °C the test item was black-silver; due to this a decomposition process is assumed. From 360 °C until 400 °C no more changes were observed.
Reason / purpose:
data waiving: supporting information

Description of key information

data waiving

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point study was waived as no melting point could be observed up to 400°C, and the test substance seemed to undergo decomposition.
