Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on a weight of evidence approach containing inherent biodegradation testing and BOD5 measurements, the structural analogue substance can be considered inherently but not readily biodegradable. Ready biodegradability is not considered an intrinsic property for acid dyes due to their fastness. The target substance is therefore considered inherently but not readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable
Type of water:
freshwater
