Description of key information

A 10 day LD50 value of >2510 mg/kg based on test material, equivalent to >610 mg active acid/kg, has been reported for the effects of HMDTMP (4 -7K) on mortality of bobwhite quail, Colinus virginianus, and mallard duck, Anas platyrhynchos. No effects on feed consumption and body weight were recorded. Neither study has been selected as key since short-term toxicity studies are not sufficient to fulfil this endpoint. These read-across data were included as supporting information only.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Testing is not considered necessary because the log Kow of the registered substances are very low (<<3) and, therefore, bioaccumulation is not of concern for these substances.
