BAM Fallhammer Test

- The sample of test material was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J in any of the 6 tests performed. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) (according to the EC Classification, Packaging & Labelling of Dangerous Substances in the European Union Part 2, Testing Methods, Jan 97).

BAM Friction Test

The sample of test material was observed to exhibit no reaction in any of the 6 tests performed at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) (according to the EC Classification, Packaging & Labelling of Dangerous Substances in the European Union Part 2, Testing Methods, Jan 97).

Koenen Tube Test

-The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative.

Interpretation of results:
other: Not classified in accordance with EU Criteria
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study the test material was not explosive.
Executive summary:

The explosivity of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.14, under GLP conditions.

The explosivity potential was tested in the Bam Fallhammer, Bam Friction and Koenen tube tests.

The sample of test material was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J in any of the 6 Bam Fallhammer tests performed. The sample of test material was observed to exhibit no reaction in any of the 6 Bam Friction tests performed at 360 N. The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the Koenen tube tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative.

Under the conditions of this study the test material was not explosive.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study the test material was not explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The explosivity of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.14, under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with the criteria for classification as defined in Annex I, Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, the substance does not require classification with respect to explosive properties.
