Description of key information

In an OECD203 key study 1-Propanaminium, 3-amino-N-(carboxymethyl)-N,N-dimethyl-, N-C18 (unsaturated) acyl derivs., hydroxides, inner salts was found to cause lethal effects to zebrafish after 96 hours at a geometric mean measured concentration of 2.66 mg a.i./L and higher. The LC50 after 96 hours 1.92 (1.39 - 2.66) mg a.i./L. The LC0 and LC100 after 96 hours was 1.39 and 2.66 mg a.i./L (geometric mean measured active ingredient).

In addition a supporting limit test (OSPAR PARCOM 2005 B) on the marine species Cyprinodon variegatus (Sheephead minnow) showed no mortality up to the nominal limit concentration of 1 mg/L. The concentration of the active is not specified.
