CHANGE IN ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
- Results: no data - Transformation products:
- not measured
- Storage stability / reactivity towards container material:
- corrosive to container material
- Conclusions:
- The test material, Epofloc L-1R, falls under the category of "metal corrosives" defined in Article 3, paragraph 8 of the "Hazardous Goods Ship Transportation and Storage Regulations".
Reference
Severe corrosion was observed on the aluminium test specimen. However, almost no corrosion was observed on the steel test specimen.
Description of key information
The test material, Epofloc L-1R, falls under the category of "metal corrosives" defined in Article 3, paragraph 8 of the "Hazardous Goods Ship Transportation and Storage Regulations".
Additional information
Substances are classified for metal corrosion if the corrosion rate on either steel or aluminium surfaces exceeds 6,25 mm per year at a test temperature of 55°C when tested on both materials. Therefore this substance will be classified as; Warning, GHS05: Corrosion, H290 - May be corrosive to metals.
