Additional information

The abiotic degradation of 2-octyldodecyl 12-[(1-oxooctadecyl)oxy]octadecanoate (CAS 90052-75-8) is not a relevant pathway. Indirect photodegradation is not expected, since the substance is unlikely to be present in the atmosphere based on the estimated vapor pressure of < 0.0001 Pa. Abiotic hydrolysis is not relevant because the substance is readily biodegradable and thus, can be expected to undergo rapid and ultimate degradation in most environmental compartments, including biological Sewage Treatment Plants (Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7b, ECHA, 2017).
