In a test according to OECD 209, no inhibition of the respiration of micro-organism in activated sludge was observed at 10, 100 and 1000 mg/L. The NOEC is 1000 mg/L.

Description of key information

In a test according to OECD 209 (Envigo 2017), no inhibition of the respiration of micro-organism in activated sludge was observed at 10, 100 and 1000 mg/L. The NOEC is 1000 mg/L. This confirms the results of an earlier study (RCC 1989) where the inhibition of oxygen at 100 mg/L was 12.4% (IC50 is > 100 mg/L).
