Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not readily combustible solid (acc. to UN Transport Regulation) and not flammable solid (acc. to GHS)
Conclusions:
The test item has to be classified as a not readily combustible and not flammable solid.
Executive summary:

The flammability of the test item was investigated according to UN Manual of Tests and Criteria: Test N.1 (Test method for readily combustible solids). In the preliminary screening test, the test item could be ignited at room temperature with a flame as ignition source. Within 2 minutes, the test item burned locally over 10 mm but could not be ignited by the flame. Based on this result, the main test had not to be performed. In consequence of the observations, the test item has not to be classified as a readily combustible solid (acc. to UN Transport Regulation) and flammable solid (acc. to GHS).
