Results and discussion

Details on results:
exp 1: The cell growth was not modified significantly and cell division ratio was very similar to controls. The average numbers of cells cultured in the presence of RR120 showed a growth of respectively 101% .
No changes in cell morphology were observed. No polypoidy was found in more than 2,000 metaphases per culture.

exp 2: The dose/effect trials done in microwell plates over 24 h showed no negative effect of the dyes in the cell culture medium; cell viability was very good even for large amounts of RR120

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
No cytotoxicity observed in human MRC-5 cells and Hela cells
