Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The test substance, Formaldehyde, polymer with 1,3-benzenedimethanamine and phenol

was assessed for its chemical characteristics, including freezing point, boiling point, vapor pressure, water solubility, partition coefficient, true density, viscosity, and flash point. The freezing point was determined to be -39.7°C and the boiling point was determined to be 217.5°C. A vapor pressure determination was not attempted in laboratory because no method is recommended for vapor pressures lower than 1 0 -5 Pascals. The water solubility of the test substance could not be determined experimantally. It was determined that the known water solubility values of each of the components of the test substance (EPI QSAR estimates) may be better predictors. The partition coefficient could not be determined because the substance was not soluble in water, or n-noctanol. The true density of the test substance was determined to be 1.14 g/mL and the viscosity of was determined to be 4271. cSt at 20°C and 582.8 cSt at 40°C. The flash point was determined to be 122.4 °C,
