Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and seek medical attention if
necessary.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing, Wash affected area with soap
and water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with plenty of water seek immediate medical
attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: In case of small fire, dry powder, CO2 or foam extinguishers
should be used. In case of large fires, foam extinguishers
should be used to remove air.

Product arising from burning: In the even of a fire the substance may burn evolving
noxious fumes including oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: In the event of a fire full PPE inluding self contained
breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of spillage any waste material should be
absorbed with dry sand, soil, sawdust etc., placed in a
sealable container and disposed of by incineration. The area
should then be washed with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should not be handled near open flame, static
electricity, sparks or other sources of ignition. To prevent
contact and inhalation, appropriate personal protective
equipment should be used. Mechanical ventilation equipment
(LEV) should be used to ensure that vapour density is
reduced to acceptable exposure levels.

Storage: Avoid direct sunlight and keep away from high temperature
materials.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be packaged in 300g, sealed plastic
bottles.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages is not technically nor
economically feasible. Such waste material will be disposed
of by incineration. In principle it may be possible to
recover larger spillages of uncontaminated material for
subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical method is available to neutralise the hazardous
properties of the substance.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance should be disposed off by incineration by
burning under controlled conditions at a local licensed
waste treatment facility in accordance with local
regulations. Stack gases must be scrubbed as noxious fumes
including oxides of carbon and nitrogen will be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or aqueous environment.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable as the substance will not be made available
to the public.
