The acute oral toxicity, repellency, and hazard potential of 998 chemicals to one or more of 68 species of wild and domestic birds was determined by standardized testing procedures (Schafer et al., 1983). The 18 -h LD50 in two bird species (European Starling and Coturnix Qauil) was determined to be >1000 mg/kg bw.
