Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Studies evaluating the short term toxicity of the substance to aquatic organisms are available for three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates, algae). Fish was found to be the most sensitive organism with an EC50 (96 h) of 0.133 mg/L (geom. mean meas.), followed by aquatic invertebrates with an EC50 (48 h) of 2.07 mg/L (geom. mean meas.), and algae with an ErC50 (72 h) of 24.9 mg/L (TWA). Long term toxicity data are available only for algae with an ErC10 (72 h) of 12.7 mg/L (TWA).

The substance did not cause inhibition of activated sludge microorganisms, as indicated by the toxicity control of the study on ready biodegradability (OECD 301 D). A NOEC (14 d) of2 mg/L (nominal) was determined. Therefore, inhibition of the degradation process in sewage treatment plants is not expected.
