Results with reference substance (positive control):
48-hr LC50 of zinc sulphate heptahydrate was 0.59 mg Zn2+/L

The 0% of control organisms were immobilised and the dissolved oxygen concentration at the end of the test was 8.9-9.0 mg O2/L. The initial pH measurements did not differ from the final measurements by more than 1.5 units in each test. At the end of the test, all test solutions were clear and colorless.

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
According to OECD 202 test method, the 48-hr EC50 of I850 was >100 mg/L.
Executive summary:

This test using the procedures outlined in the Maxxam Study Plan for TOX1738 which is based on the SOP for the OECD 202 (BBY2SOP-00017) and OECD 202 (OECD, 2004).The results of this OECD 202 test for I850 show that all validity criteria were met. Based on the nominal concentrations of I850, the 48-hr EC50 was >100 mg/L.

Description of key information

The 48-hr EC50 of I850 was >100 mg/L for Daphnia magna (OECD TG202).

Additional information

The test was considered valid as 0% of control organisms were immobilised and the minimum dissolved oxygen concentration at the end of the test was 8.8-9.0 mg O2/L. All test validity criteria were met. The pH of the test solutions was within the ranges outlined in the OECD 202 test guideline. The measured concentrations of I850 were within 80-100% of their nominal concentrations. Based on the nominal concentrations of I850, the 48-hr EC50 was >100 mg/L.
