Additional information

According to Annex VII of REACH, a growth inhibition study on aquatic plants doe not need to be conducted if there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur, for instance if the substance is highly insoluble in water or the substance is unlikely to cross biological membranes.

During the validation of analytical method in 20X AAP medium for lemna, the substance was found to be below the limit of quantification of the validated HLPC method.

Overall, the significance of aquatic compartment for toxicity of Disperse Red 073 was considered as limited.
