Description of key information

The flash point of n-hexyl methacrylate is reported to be 73.0 °C at 1013 hPa (closed cup) (Brandes et al. (2003)). This value is supported by a valid experimental value of 72 °C (Pensky-Martens closed cup) according to ASTM D. 93-52 (standard atmopheric pressure assumed) (Arkema (1971).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
73 °C

Additional information

The flash point of n-hexyl methacrylate is reported to be 73.0 °C at 1013 hPa (closed cup).
