Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The biodegradation of the test substance was assessed according to OECD Test Guideline 301F. No degradation of the test material was observed after 28 days and therefore the test material cannot be considered as readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
not biodegradable

Additional information

To further evaluate the persistence potential of EC 434-280-4, each of the 4 starting materials are evaluated as EC 434-280-4 immediately dissociates in water. This is provided as a weight of evidence assessment attached in this summary record. Part of this assessment includes the degradation pathway of tributyl phosphate from OASIS Catalogic 301C, which first degrades to dibutyl phospahte, and therefore if tributyl phosphate is readily biodegradable, dibutyl phosphate should also be readily biodegradable. An endpoint record has been created for this modeling with the QPRF attached.
