Lowest test temperature = 246°C

Summary

Parameter

Value

Lowest value of test series 1:

244°C

Lowest value of test series 2:

241°C

Lowest value of test series 3:

246°C

Lowest value of all test series

241°C

Absolute deviation of the lowest value (1.5%)

3.6°C

Auto-ignition temperature: 237°C

Remarks

According to DIN EN 14522 the lowest value of all test series (241°C) was reduced by the deviation value based on the precision of the method (rel. 1.5% = 3.6°C). The resulting value was rounded to the next integral number (237°C).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature of 237°C was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol.

Description of key information

Dimethoxymethyloctadecylsilane: 237°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
237 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature of 237°C (1013 hPa) was determined according to EU Method A.15.
