Results and discussion

Test results (Oxidising solids)
Key result
Sample tested:
test mixture as specified
Parameter:
other: Oxidising properties
Remarks on result:
other: Non-oxidising
Remarks:
Assessed by examining chemical structure of substance. Substance contains oxygen, but only bonded to carbon. Consequently, the test item would not be expected to possess oxidising properties.

Any other information on results incl. tables

For organic compounds, the substance does not possess oxidising properties if it does not contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine. If these atoms are present, then the substance does not possess oxidising properties if the atoms are only chemically bonded to carbon and hydrogen. From an examination of the chemical structure of WS-23, it was confirmed that it does contain oxygen, but only bonded to carbon. Consequently, the test item would not be expected to possess oxidising properties.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The test item would not be expected to possess oxidising properties as contains oxygen bonded only to carbon.
