Description of key information

No experimental data were available on sediment testing. Two studies on the sediment organism Hyallella azteca were documented, but the EC50 values reported were unbound, and therefore not considered suitable for PNEC deirvation.

The PNEC sediment was calculated using the PNEC water and the suspended matter - water partitioning coefficient according to ECHA guidance R.10. (Characterisation of dose [concentration]-response for environment) and R.16: (Environment exposure estimation).

This leads to a PNEC sediment of 12.65 mg/kg ww (22% solids by weight) which is equivalent to 57.50 mg In/kg dw.
