First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: In case of dust inhalation or breathing fumes released from
heated material, remove person to fresh air. Keep him quiet
and warm. Apply artificial respiration if necessary and seek
medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold the eyelids apart. Flush eyes promptly with copious
amounts of flowing water for at least 20 minutes.

Seek medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild
soap and plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash
clothing before re-use.

Seek medical attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding fire
conditions.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion include oxides of carbon and nitrogen
together with some acidic gases.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Provide fire-fighters with self-contained breathing
apparatus in positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personnel should wear respirator, chemical safety goggles,
rubber gloves and boots. After spillage or leakage sweep up
chemical, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal or
possible re-use.

Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pick-up is
complete.

Handling and storage

Handling: Keep containers tightly closed, avoid bodily contact.

Storage: Store in dry, well-ventilated area.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25 kg paper or PE bags and 500 or 1000 kg PP big bags.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Will decompose from ca. 375 °C releasing poisonous and
corrosive fumes.

Chemical reaction with water: None.

Dust explosion: As the substance is an organic solid there is a potential
for dust explosion.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The product and its used package may be recycled.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Controlled dumping at a licensed landfill.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and
burn in a chemical incinerator equiped with an afterburner
or scrubber.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain as a bound
component of a polymer. Recovery is not feasible although
the polymer may be recycled.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
