According to Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), the study does not need to be conducted if the organic substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties, but the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500 °C.
In a thermal stability assay (OECD guideline 113) up to 500 °C, an exothermic decomposition is seen between ca. 110 and 240 °C with an energy release up to 320 J/g.

Based on the screening procedure described within the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), the substance is devoid of an explosive potential.
