Additional information

The toxicity of 4 -tert butylcyclohexanol to aquatic microorganisms was investigated (2012-0116-DGO). This dose-response test with domestic activated sludge was carried out according to OECD guideline 209 under GLP conditions. The tested concentrations were 3.20, 10, 32, 100, 320 and 1000 mg/L. In addition a blank control (water) and positive control (reference item: Copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate p.a.) were tested. No effects occurred up to the test concentration 100 mg/L (NOEC, 3 h). The EC50 (3 h) was determined to be 225 mg/L (nominal); the EC10 (3 h) was 103 mg/L (nominal).
