In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, section 8.3, a study for skin sensitisation does not need to be conducted if the available information indicates that the criteria are met for classification as corrosive to the skin. Lithium nitride is regarded as skin corrosive (Cat. 1  (H314) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the stated reasons no classification and labelling according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 can be deduced for lithium nitride with regard to skin sensitisation.
