Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The purpose of the study was to assess the phytotoxicity of the test item on the freshwater aquatic plantLemna gibba. Exponentially-growing cultures ofLemna gibbawere exposed to the test item. A non-GLP preliminary experiment was carried out at saturation concentration to determine the approximate toxicity of the test item.

Lemna colonies (containing 11 fronds in total per test vessel) were exposed to the test concentration and for the untreated control for a period of 7 days. Three replicates was used for the control and two replicates for the test concentration.

Analytical determinations of test concentrations were not performed.

Based on the results of non-GLP preliminary test, the test item had no significant toxic effect on Lemna gibba at aquatic saturation. The 7d EC50 and NOEC values based on the frond numbers can be determined to be higher than saturation.

Taken into consideration that substance is practically insoluble, the results obtained during the validation of an analytical method and the results obtained into the preliminary test, the main one was not considered as necessary.
