Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The study does not need to be conducted because there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted because there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur: the substace is poorly soluble in test medium.

A non GLP-preliminary experiment was conducted in Lemna gibba, in order to assess the potential toxicity of the substance on quatic plants. The experiment was carried out at saturation concentration. Lemna colonies were exposed to the test concentration and for the untreated control for a period of 7 days.

Based on the results of non-GLP preliminary test, the test item had no significant effect on Lemna gibba at aquatic saturation: the 7d NOEC value based on the frond numbers can be determined to be higher than saturation.

Taken into consideration that substance is poorly soluble and that the results obtained into the preliminary test confirm that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur, a main-complete test was not considered as necessary.
