Adsorption to solid soil phase is not expected. For both sodium 2-mercaptoethanolate and the read-across substance 2-mercaptoethanol the Koc is ca. 2 L/kg (log Koc = 0.28) based on estimation with the MCI method of KOCWIN.
Henry's Law Constant
The substance will not evaporate into the atmosphere from the water surface. For both sodium 2-mercaptoethanolate and the read-across substance 2-mercaptoethanol the Henry's Law Constant is 0.0129 Pa·m3/mole based on the bond method of HENRYWIN (v3.20).
