Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

These findings do not warrant the classification of AMPD as a carcinogen under the new Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) or under the Directive 67/518/EEC for dangerous substances and Directive 1999/45/EC for preparations.

Additional information

No standard carcinogenicity studies are available for the substances in this chemical category. However, with regard to the molecular structure of the substances within the category, no carcinogenic potential is expected. Moreover, neither genotoxicity nor any evidence of preneoplastic or neoplastic lesions was observed in the mutagenicity studies or in the repeated dose toxicity studies.
