Description of key information

For AMPD, acute toxicity tests in fish and Daphnia are available The LC-50 (96-h) for Brachydanio rerio is >10'000 mg/L (OECD 203). The EC50 (48h) for Daphnia magna is ca. 316 mg/L (OECD 202). An algal toxicity test available for 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol (AEPD) was used as read-across. The test was performed with and without pH adjustment, leading to growth rate based EC50 values of 548 mg/L and 225 mg/L, respectively. NOEC values were 31.3 mg/L and 26.8 mg/L, with and without pH adjustment, respectively. Based on this data, pH had an effect on algal growth, and the value obtained with pH adjustment has been used for the assessment of toxicity.
