Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The submission substance is acutely non-toxic to fish:

LC50 (96h) > 100 mg/L (Harlan, C92445, 2010).

LC50 (96h) >1000 <2150 mg/L (BASF, 88/1019, 1989).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In an acute toxicity test on danio rerio according to OECD guideline 203, the following effect values were determined (limit test): NOEC and LC0 (96h) 109 mg/L nominal concentration (100 mg/L after correction for water content); LC50 (96h) > 109 mg/L nominal concentration (100 mg/L after correction for water content); Analytical determinations of the test concentration proved stability in the test water (95, 88 and 83% of the nominal value at 0, 48 and 96 hours). Neihter at the treatment concentration nor in the control any dead fish or behavioural abnormalities had been observed (Harlan, C92445, 2010).

In a supporting study the acute toxicity of the substance to Leuciscus idus was tested in a study conducted according to German standard DIN 38412 part L15. At test termination after 96 hours a LC50 >1000 <2150 mg/L was determined for the substance with 74% active ingredient. Refering to 100 % active ingredient in water a LC50 >740 < 1591 mg/L was recalculated (BASF, 88/1019, 1989).
