Description of key information

Based on a weight-of-evidence approach performed with a structural analogue including a ready (OECD 301D), an inherent (OECD 302B) biodegradation test and the experimental determination of COD and BOD5, the structural analogue substance showed no biodegradation potential. The read-across substance is neither inherently nor readily biodegradable. The read-across substance is not inhibitory to activated sludge respiration and has no potential to adsorb to sludge particles. Therefore, the target substance is also not considered to be biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed
