Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Current assessment is via published data for similar chemical structures - perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs). These substances have been identified as chemicals of concern in the environment due to their persistence and global ubiquity. There are many published references to studies that are investigating the long-term effects of this type of substance in the environment.

Conclusion is that;

Biodegradation: not ready biodegradable and not inherently biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed
