Endpoint:
auto-ignition temperature (liquids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with national standard methods with acceptable restrictions
Justification for type of information:
Not possible to isolate from water without decomposition, so commercial product used for testing
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to
Guideline:
other: DSC
GLP compliance:
no
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Lot : w17061205
Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
> 195 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
Material showed no exothermic behaviour

No exothermic behavior was observed up to the maximum 195°C test temperature during DSC analysis.

The trace shows that the material simply loses volatile material, which would be water and ammonia, during the heat ramping and then no further reaction occurred.

Based on these results the test substance does not have a self-ignition temperature up to its drying point.

Description of key information

No exothermic behavior was observed up to the maximum 195°C test temperature during DSC analysis.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
