Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Alcohols, C8-10-iso, C9-rich, is readily biodegradable in aerobic freshwater systems with a biodegradation potential of 98%, following standard test guidelines. The registered substance is not expected to persist in the environment under aerobic conditions. This result is consistent with several GLP-compliant studies on similar substances which were also determined to be readily biodegradable; Alcohols, C7-9-iso, C8-rich (OECD 301F), Alcohols, C9-11-iso, C10-rich (OECD 301F), and Isononanol CAS 27458-94-2 (EU method C.4-C).
