First-aid measures

Description of first aid measuresIn all cases keep the victim at physical and mental rest and warm. In all serious events and always in case of eye contact, seek for medical help.Inhalation:Breake the exposure, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a physician immediately.Skin contact:Take off immediately contaminated clothing and flush affected area with plenty of water. Immediate medical treatment is necessary.Eye contact:Remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately. Ingestion:Rinse the mouth with clean water, make him drink 0,1-0,2 l of water, do not induce vomiting, seek for medical help.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, dry chemicals, carbon dioxide.Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons:Not known.Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:Development of hazardous gases or vapours possible in the event of fire.In case of burning, carbon oxides and nitrogen oxides are formed.Advice for firefighters:In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 137) and clothing protective against chemicals.

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:Prevent access to unauthorised persons. Avoid formation of dust. Avoid inhalation of dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.Environmental precautions:Keep away from sources of ignition.Avoid releasing to sewerage system, avoid contamination water sources, waste waters, soil and vegetation.Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:Collect in the designated closed containers for dangerous waste. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use personal protective equipment.Avoid inhaling of dust. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Do not eat, drink or smoke during the work and observe the personal hygiene principles.Wash hands with water and soap before breaks and after work.Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:Store in original tightly closed packings in dry areas protected from direct weather conditions (light, heat, frost, moisture). This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
