Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of an analgue of the substance, tetrahydromethylphthalic anhydride (MTHPA), was studied in a Modified MITI Test conducted according to the OECD guideline 301 C.

MTHPA changed to the dissociated substance, which was stable. As a result, MTHPA is considered to be not ready biodegradable.
